Affiliated with the association of "vieilles
maisons françaises". In the late Middle-Ages, Irish monks came to preach
the Gospel in Guerande. On the hillsides overlooking
the sea and the salt marshes, they founded a sanctuary
dedicated to Saint Brigitte, daughter of an Irish druid
from Ireland, greatly venerated in Celtic countries
under the name of "Brigirt" or "Bréhet",
in the regional dialect of the Vannes region.
Later, the Bréhet estate, influential stronghold,
was possessed by several Breton families who then built
their country seats there. The current manor was reconstructed
at the end of the 17th century..
